AI Insights: What I’ve Been Noticing About AI

Since May was packed with being a busy mom who is tirelessly driving, organizing, and managing the lives of my children, I wondered how artificial intelligence could have made things more streamlined and automated. I wanted to learn more about AI and how people are using it.

The reality is that I spend half of my time as an advisor with early stage founders. They are busy innovating and creating with the new technology that is being explored and utilized to create more efficiency and help solve problems that still exist in our society.

As I reflected on the clients I support, I realized that I live and see a wide range of utilization of AI.

Within the dynamic world I operate in, I’m able to see things from multiple POVs. But I wanted to push myself and get out of my bubble, so I reached out to about 30 people in my network whose insights I value. They all work for established companies of varying sizes across different sectors within the US. I also spoke with some of my current clients to get their perspective on how AI is impacting and embedded in their personal and professional world.

I walked away with some very interesting insights:

  • 50% of people I spoke with have access to tools like ChatGPT—but feel totally unequipped to use them well.

  • Only 2 out of 10 said they use AI to enhance their selling, presenting, or content creation.

  • Most are curious, anxious, or both.

I’ve been listening—deeply. And want to hear a bit more.

And while AI is evolving fast, what’s not changing is the need for context, clarity, and confidence in how we lead, sell, use and connect with this rapidly moving technology.

So, I am continuing on my fact finding mission and have a simple survey that I want you to fill out. It closes in 10 days. I will share more about what I am learning and hopefully how you answer this will be no surprise with others like you. Take the survey and let me know your thoughts and feel free to share with a friend.

Amirah’s Take: What AI Made Me Think About This Month

  1. AI doesn’t replace your gut—it can just help you ask better questions.

  2. Whether it’s refining your pitch, analyzing your sales pipeline, or writing a post—AI can help accelerate, not replace, your unique voice.

  3. The speed of how to use AI is faster than most people can use it. It will take time to find ways to utilize all the efficiencies but it will take time to learn how and make each person become more efficient.

My prediction: Companies that have great onboarding and intuitive user experience will win! Just like the iPhone took over the market many people say Android is the better smartphone. They might be right, but Apple understands how to make it easy for the consumer to use their product.

My advice: Every company and service provider should make it “easy” to use, understand, setup and use their AI technology or tools. Less friction, less attrition. Make it easy for humans.

My recommendation: Talk to ChatGPT Like This—You’ll Thank Me Later!

If you’re unsure how to use AI to support you or your work, try one or all three of these ideas below. Let me know what you think and what worked!

Option A: Low-Lift, High-Feel-Good: A little magic for your everyday life

Prompt:

"Act as a creative personal assistant. I have time off this summer and want to plan a mix of relaxing and productive activities. Give me a customized weekly plan that includes local day trips, reading time, exercise, and 1–2 small personal goals. I live in [City, State]."

🔹 My goal for you: Let’s experience AI helping you and your family in your real lives. Be curious and play.

Option B: Focused Flow Mode: When you want to get in rhythm, not just get things done

Prompt:

"Act as a productivity coach. I have 4–6 major tasks this week but keep getting distracted. Create a personalized daily focus plan using time-blocking, give me a daily affirmation, and suggest 1–2 AI tools to help me stay on track."

🔹 My goal for you: Don’t get overwhelmed with the stuff you need to do. Let’s see what tools it recommends to help you.

Option C: Big Moves, Big Energy: For the founder or sales leader ready to optimize and grow

Prompt:

“Act as my AI sales strategist. Suggest 3 automations or tools to streamline, and write a follow-up message to help me re-engage cold leads.”

🔹My goal for you: Don’t let your sales strategy stay in your head. Utilize some automation ideas, and some templates to brainstorm with.
